Categories 

1/ Best Warhammer 40,000 Miniature. 
Any single Warhammer 40,000 miniature an a standard 25 mm round slottabase. 

2/ Best Warhammer 40,000 Squad. 
This category is for Warhammer 40,000 Squads, chosen from the Squads section of the Codex Army lists. Note: Space Marines may be chosen as five man combat squads as set out in White Dwarf: Combat Squads. All other races may be chosen within the army list parameters (e.g..: Dark Reapers 3-7 models, Snotling Herd 2-10 bases + a Runtherd, etc.). All models are to be on standard 25 mm round slottabases. This category may also include squads on bikes, jet bikes, boars, horses etc. (these to be on 25 mm X 50 mm bases). 

3/ Best Warhammer 40,000 Vehicle. 
This category is open to single Warhammer 40,000 vehicle, dreadnought, war walker, bike, jet bike, etc. models. 

4/ Best Warhammer Miniature. 
Any Warhammer single miniature on a standard slottabase up to 25mm X 50 mm (cavalry base). 

5/ Best Warhammer Command Group/Regiment. 
Entries for this category will consist of: For Command Groups, any four of the following miniatures from the same Warhammer army: Army General, Standard Bearer, Musician, Champion, or Wizard. For Regiments, any five models from the same regiment.  Models are to be on standard slottabases, up to 25 mm X 50 mm (cavalry base). 

6/ Best Warhammer War Machine. 
This category is for any war machines from the Warhammer World, such as cannons, chariots, etc. 

7/ Best Warhammer Monster or Warhammer 40,000 Creature. 
This category is open to single monsters or creatures on bases up to 50 mm X 50mm, this covers Avatars, Ogryns and Tyranids and you may include a rider such as those on Dragons or Chaos Bull Taurus. 

8/ Best Necromunda Gang, Blood Bowl Team, Gorkamorka Mob. 
Entries in this category must consist of the following:  For Necromunda Gangs, 4-12 models and Necromunda Gang restrictions.  For Blood Bowl Teams, 12 players and Blood Bowl Team restrictions.  For Gorkamorka Mobs, 1-2 Vehicles with 4-8 other models and Gorkamorka Mob restrictions.  All models are to be presented on their standard slottabases. 

9/ Best Necromunda, Blood Bowl, gorkamorka Miniature. 
Any single Necromunda, Blood Bowl or Gorkamorka Miniature, on their standard slottabase up to 25 mm X 50 mm. (cavalry base). 

The Open Competition. 
This category is open to your imagination, it could be a single fantastic miniature or a sweeping diorama. The only limits to this category are that the entry should not exceed 30 cm length X 30 cm width X 30 cm height, and that the entry adhere to the themes of either the Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000 universes. This category is open to anyone. 

Young Bloods. 
Those painters that are 14 years and younger have the choice of entering "Young Bloods" categories or "Top Nine" categories. The young Bloods categories are the same as 1 through 9 however they are judged against others of the same age group. 

Popular Vote Category. 
This year the Popular Vote Category will be a Painted Army Competition. There will be a prize for the most popular Warhammer Army and for Warhammer 40,000 Army. Armies are to be 1500 points or under, and based on a “What you see is what you get” basis. (If a space marine is paid for with a missile launcher, then the model must have one, grenades are negligible). Armies must adhere to the Army Book or Codex. No allies. No special Characters. Warhammer 40,000 Armies use the 2nd Edition rules. Each Army must be accompanied by a neatly written Army list, to be displayed with the models. No Armies or models there of can be used for games on the day. You may enter as many Armies as you can manage to field.

Guidelines 

-You can only enter once in each category, all miniatures must be painted Citadel or Marauder miniatures. 

-All single miniatures must be mounted on their appropriate gaming bases. The judges prefer these to be painted or flocked green. 

-Conversions are allowed, but should remain within the themes and the atmosphere of the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universes. 

-Competitors will be fully responsible for the transport of their entries to and from the Golden Dragon Painting Competition, and for storing the transport and packaging materials on the day. 

-Once they have been booked in, Dragonplayers undertakes to treat all entries with the greatest of care, but we will take no responsibility for the loss or damage to individual entries. Entry is entirely at the competitors own risk. 

-Entries are not to be touched once they have been booked in, regardless of weather you own them or not.
